I started this project to learn more about thinking and creativity (Heureka moments), identify methods and approaches to be more creative, and use heuristics to learn lessons of what others have already learned and discovered themselves.
The etymology of heurēka “I have found”, is from the Greek word heuriskein “to find”; an additional derivative of this word is “heuristic”, also meaning to find or discover. In fact, a heuristic approach is one that uses problem-solving or self-discovery to reach a goal. Heuristics can also be mental models or mental shortcuts that enhance decision-making abilities and help explain the way the world works. Seemed like a fitting name.
